FAQs + Pre & Post Care

Rest assured, I will provide all the information you need to feel comfortable with the service and be satisfied with the results! If your questions are not answered below, feel free to to contact me!

How long does it last?

Typically, powder brows last up to two years. A yearly touch up is recommended to fresh up the color.

How long is an appointment and how long is the healing process?

Brows appointments last 2-2.5 hours max. Healing can take up to ten days but a full six weeks is required in between the initial appointment and the touch up.

Does it hurt? 

Clients typically report minimal pain and discomfort. A numbing cream will be applied for twenty minutes before service with additional numbing solution added throughout.

Pre Care

Please follow all pre care instructions before arriving at your appointment.

  • Skin must be free of all irritations the day of your service. Examples; rashes, sunburnt skin, ingrown hairs, blemishes, cuts, etc

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid taking aspirin, niacin, vitamin e, fish oils, or ibuprofen 48 hours before.

  • Avoid retinols/ alpha hydroxyl acid for two weeks prior.

  • Botox, fillers, chemical facial peels should be administered at least one month prior.

  • If you have a history of cold sores please consult your doctor. You may take your antiviral medication before lip blushing to prevent an outbreak.

Post Care

Aftercare is a very important part of permanent makeup. Ineffective aftercare increases the likelihood of the pigment not retaining correctly. Be sure to follow the instructions to ensure your brows will continue to look amazing after the healing process is complete.


Days 1-7
Wash brows morning and night using the antibacterial soap provided. Use gentle circular motions, rinse, and pat dry with a paper towel.

Day 3-7
Beginning on day 3 add a tiny rice grain sized amount of aftercare cream to your brows after you wash and dry them.

  • Do not rub, pick, or scratch the treated area, let the skin naturally exfoliate off.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for a minimum of four weeks. Once healed apply sunscreen to ensure to prevent fading.

  • Avoid pools, hot tubs, saunas, for two weeks, Avoid sleeping on your face the first ten days

  • Avoid getting your brows directly in the running shower water for 10 days.

  • Do not use makeup on the brow area until the skin has fully exfoliated off.

  • Avoid facials, chemical treatments, Botox, for four weeks.

*Please note color will appear darker and bolder directly after the service and even more so in the following days. Once fully healed, your brows should heal around 30-40% lighter and shrink around 30%.
We can always go darker and bolder at the touch up session if that is desired.
